Most likeable song

This here a post is about the song Dha Ghe Dha Ghe on the Brain Terror which btw should get a video for i hope and pray and expect

Dha Ghe Dha Ghe or something along those lines was the original title of the song which got changed to Let's just say i didnt say anything on another album i made under a different band name. since this band is no more and i like this song, ive restored it to its original name (sorta) and am also gonna start playing it live at gigs.
it is my most likeable song id say, the lyrics have positive message as one can read below:

i have come to find
theres nothing wrong

TERMINAL bOREDOM HAS REVIEWED THE TAPE

thanks TERMBO for listening and having an experience than later using words to describe sounds you heard on the tape. I like how you used the word "disorienting" to describe things, pretty far out stuff...plus i been listening to the Factorymen and Sockeye now and i didnt know them, i mean i had heard of Sockeye and now i've been tuning into their vast discography, it's pretty vast

thanks again here it is

I Know I'm An Alien "I Know I'm An Alien and I Want To Go Home Sometimes But then I Remember I Gotta Try and Understand You" cassette
The project name and release title, combined with some very wacky song titles had me thinking this might be a tough listen - a gimmick that would surely grow old after 16 songs. But it was actually a pretty good listen...a one-man project based out of the UK, by a man (alien?) calling himself Walter Weirdheadd. Very strange electronic experimentation with occasional guitar/bass, reminds me of the Factorymen project at times. But perhaps even a bit more disorienting. The "alien observing humanity" gag doesn't get old due to the fact that there are few vocals on the cassette - the vocals that are there are electronically distorted, and sometimes vastly overpower the rest of the track, sometimes the opposite. Tough to understand (even keeping an eye on the track titles), they mainly just make the whole affair more disorienting. More than anything, this tape reminded me of some of the obscure Sockeye side-projects...ones where they eschew their reliance on crude, absurd humor in favor of weirdness and social commentary. This guy's Bandcamp is worth checking out if you're a fan of this type of oddness. 50 physical copies made.(RR)

NEW ALBUM

BRAIN TERROR by iknowimanalien is out now

Sunday 26 June 2016

Review of Hobo Shaman on Gilded Gutter and new track from upcoming album

"Human’s imagining being aliens imagining to be humans has a proven track record of being a powerful thing …. Bowie and Sun Ra both established that when one is in charge of one’s own universe there’s room to concisely define parameters in order to communicate ideas.  I can’t tell if these 13 songs feel dysfunctional as a result of rebelling against or actually reflecting our everyday life in this city.  Could well be a bit of both.   I was drawn to this record because it so clearly gets this concept across; it conveys the sensation of having oneself mirrored back –part hilarity and part surprise.  With songs like ‘Hey Hi Tech Lover’, ‘Becoming Human’ and ‘Hare Hare Against Genetic Engineering’ I Know I’m An Alien captures both those things, the absurd side to being human and the shocking."

Click below for the full text:
Review of Hobo Shaman on gilded Gutter....!

Also, a new track has been unveiled and it is a cover of the Beatles' masterpiece "Piggies", written by the amazing George Harrison. The lyrics are still as relevant today as in 1968. Maybe more so?
The new Album coming out very soon will be called Brain Terror (Forget Your Head) and will have two other versions of songs by David Bowie and Roky Erickson.

I Know I'm An Alien Solo Set at Hundred Years Gallery for Festival OVO

After being forced to cancel due to poor acclimation to Earth weather as mentioned in previous blog post, I Know I'm An Alien will finally play long overdue solo set at the great Hundred Years Gallery in Hoxton, London, UK.

The set will consist of spaced out synthesizer and atonal guitar weirdness along with far out magnetic tape manipulations in order to bend space and time and successfully achieve a change in dimension and a creation of a new reality for 20-25 minutes or however long it will last in Earth time. Respect.

Tapes and CD-R's will be available to the public.

The festivities will be a part of the great Festival OVO which occurs in beloved South America, more precisely the great nation of Brazil, city of Porto Alegre where musicians will play together in real time through the proper use of technology to also bring down the barriers of time and space and transcend physical existence and geographical limitations imposed by collective lack of knowledge of humans as time travellers and higher dimensional beings.

Tabs Out Podcast

Thanks Tabsout Podcast for the Awesome review on the tape....!

Approved, perfect review! And thanks for the support, means a lot to this a here space person. Specially the bit about the 1-star Chuck E. Cheese.

thank you----------------- tabs out is far out

Click here to see the review at the Tabs Out Podcast page

Here's the review:

On a standard occasion, one must put a coin in the slot of a strip mall spaceship to hear music like I Know I’m An Alien. This tape from late 2015, with the full title of “I Know I’m An Alien And I Want To Go Home Sometimes But Then I Remember I Gotta Try And Understand You”, is persistently jovial, but also a little bit “off”. A steady serfdom to bugged out, Weenish cartoonism, contagious fringe rock, and dingy weirdness. It all makes me think of a 1-star Chuck E. Cheese’s bootleg joint that opened up just a little too quick after a flood/fire combination took them out 3 weeks ago. But Teddy, the night manager, his cousin Ray “knows drywall” so they redid the whole place themselves. The carpet was soaked AND burnt, but is somehow still sticky to the touch. Layers of pizza ooze and “Slarpee’s” must have burrowed deep into the abyss of fibers. They didn’t even throw out the old pizza. It’s called “before flood pizza” and costs 50 cents less. Rejected mall cops dance in pathetic Sonic The Hedgehog costumes for 6-9 year old’s jacked up on Mountain Dew flavored pepperoni.

Sixteen cuts make up this gonzo-pop jukebox, each with their own coltish antics. Rowdy bass lines. Synthy kookiness. Conehead vocal stylings. It’s batty, man. Imagine Teddy’s band playing a gig through the water-damaged PA system while video games act up, ski ball goes haywire, and a gaggle of piss stained brats attack the token guy. The tracks exist in that perfect, on-the-fritz zone, where you don’t know exactly what will pop up next. A toy piano cover of Chariots Of Fire by someone’s pudgy newphew, Spanish guitar, and a globby softvapour drill all make their way into the fray. This is good time music, for nice people.

Low DPI cover art and 1998 font work only helps further I Know I’m An Alien’s nutty agenda. Full support over here. I hope they get back home one day. In the meantime, you can pick up a copy of this cassette, which is limited to 50, from their Bandcamp.

Free Form Freakout

I Know I’m An Alien is on Free Form Freakout KMSU from Minnesota, USA.

"Of the new material played throughout this show, I’ve been particularly drawn to the experimental metal sounds of Drose, the crude cut-up tape work of Brian Ruryk, the oddball lo-fi pop of I Know I’m An Alien..."

Thank you FFF for playing the music, gives hope and faith to this here space person to carry on and keep searching for the light in the confusing valley of material existence and physical incarnation.

Still Alien Still Dreaming (I Am Hobo Shaman) Considerations

Still Alien Still Dreaming (I Am Hobo Shaman)

Words are useless (most of the time) and are not truth. They can point to truth but are not truth.

People nowadays seem to belittle ancient civilizations and assume they  were ignorant and less evolved. This is due to modern man thinking that to be evolved is about creating things that will do for him what he doesn't want to do himself like, "Oh look at us we have these amazing smartphones, we can buy all this stuff here with a click of a button and I will make my house a smarthome and and will have a smartcar and they will do everything for me so I can just sit back and watch the news on my great TV. These things weren't around in medieval times, how stupid they probably were!"
We read about humans before them and cavemen and all that in history books and bought this reality that was presented to us and we were forced by teachers to memorize these things and then show them how good we are at remembering things under pressure from them, and our parents. They made us think shit like  "man, if we don't memorize this shit we'll be freaking starving nobodies in the future, we need to know this, we need carreers, we don't want to become like dirty artists, those poor people!"
This is very heavy conditioning. Makes people skeptical to something like:

"It will probably be found, in the course of time, that the oft-repeated statements of H. P. Blavatsky that the ancients had all of our arts and mechanical devices were true. She asserted that they had flying machines. In Buddhist books is a --- p.111---- story of Buddha which refers to a flying machine or mechanical bird used in a former life of the Lord, and Indian tradition speaks also of air walking machines. Reading this item in the newspaper reminds me too of a conversation I had with H. P. Blavatsky in New York before the phonograph came out, in which she said that some Indian friends of hers had a machine by which they spoke with each other over distances of miles with great ease. Perhaps when the great West is convinced that the old Aryans had mechanical contrivances equaling our own, it will be ready to lead a readier ear than now to the philosophies the East has so long held in keeping."
William Q. Judge from the Theosophical Society
Path, July, 1894

You say something like that to someone and they'll beat you up Plato Cave style saying "where did you come up with that you lunatic, we didn't learn that in college, loser."
Anyways, all these are just reality tunnels created by those who wrote the history books with whatever purposes they had in mind at the time and everyone bought it as the one and only  reality for all of humanity. We just agreed to this and continue to agree because we don't know any better. This causes a lot of problems to this day. We are all different Universes within ourselves, we each are a world within a world, with different ways of experiencing ourselves individually and we've been given very unique paths to follow. No one can do this for us.  So the biggest crime would have to be imposing you reality on someone else's and convincing them that this is true. And them believing it.
Walking around in a big city we are bombarded with ads and silly attempts of people and corporations trying to impose their shallow realities onto ours and steal our energy for their own purposes.
I dream of a society where we celebrate our uniqueness where no one interferes in each other's lives for reasons other than helping each other out. May we be rid of selfishness and wake up from this ridiculous materialistic trance and indulgence in useless things.

The idea of the Hobo Shaman is that everyone is a Buddha and that people who chose to incarnate as hobos are practicing Shamans who got a lot to teach us so when you see a homeless person, smile at them! Our problem is the rich and greedy not the beat up and humble.

Let us celebrate arts, and give thanks to Ornette Coleman, Coltrane, John Cage, Stockhausen, Iggy Pop, Miles Davis, Bowie, Prince and all innovators who fearlessly pushed the boundaries and took one for the team so we can have freedom in music.

This all sounds very serious but it's not. But it also is.

If you want to know who the Anunnaki were, thanks to the internet, there's a lot of info online. And telepathy. But most importantly, in books. Read books, find the books that resonate. Question what you read, specially when reading from internet. Read stuff, question things and come up with your very own opinion not based on anything. Or simply don't read anything and come up with your own opinion based on self experimenting. Or even better, let go of opinions, they are of use to no one.

Musicians and artists are today's wizards, shamans and magicians.  Matter of fact so is everyone in potential, if they just realize this.

The Native American Indians and many others were well aware of this too.

Modern man is trapped in a world of excessive technology which blocks him from his true Self, leading to a life without purpose or meaning.

Atlantis, the ancient civilization that was here before us perished because of this.

May we bring back magick and ritual to the dullness of everyday modern life.

Apology Statement + Letter to the Band = Reality Tunnels

"I Know I'm An Alien's Walter Weirdheadd has sent an official statement saying his terrestrial vehicle has caught an earthly virus which his 5th dimensional lightbody isn't used to and it has lowered his vibration to the point where he cannot use his sonic powers to the best of his abilities and sends his apologies for he cannot perform."

- apology letter to the legendary Hundred Years Gallery for WW's first solo show

WW is fully healed and will be ready to go for the Alien's full band debut, a shamanic ritual never seen before this side of the Thames, where they will summon the sweet occult vibrations of the unseen beings waiting to manifest in these realms for the first time in front of curious(?) earth dwellers. An open mind and spiritual consent is expected to fully allow for the sharing and merging of reality tunnels to be created by audience and musicians/sorcerers. An unforgettable trip? We hope so.

Music makes me fly. I definitely know I'm an alien more than ever, today in particular for some reason.

Below, I share with thee (whoever the hell reads this or not) a letter from Walter's weird head to the fellow band members and sonic time travelers of yesterday to get them pumped up for the upcoming show at a place and date which may or may not be revealed/exist/take place. Please enjoy.

"It is important to remember that our role goes beyond being musicians, as sound vibrations are very powerful mind expanding tools (among other things).
Famous writer Joseph Campbell called musicians the modern day shamans and I agree. If we see ourselves this way and hold this as true in our minds, our whole way of playing will shift when we approach our instruments. It is a magical thing we have here, this is really awesome.
Remember this and with that mindset, there is no right or wrong note, there is nothing to worry about ever, we are exploring and experiencing, there is just ongoing sound waves flowing from us coming out of our amps. Everything is Energy. This is how we get confident. Trust me, we are freaking magicians man. You will see great change once you start seeing yourself that way, and when you talk to people you will speak to them as a  musician who is part of something greater. It brings respect and admiration when you talk about yourself like that. Careful with those. Nothing to fear cause this is truth.

I met  Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin last week he and is a magician/occult sound wizard as we all know. I take this as a sign of synchronicity from the Universe that we are being guided in the right path."

The Wire Magazine Review Transcription

As I wrote here yesterday ("I" being the physical manifestation of pure extraterrestrial energy and sound vibrations on this plane and "yesterday" being an allusion to time, that unreal man made illusory concept used to trap humanity in a claustrophobic state),  I Know I'm An Alien's first ever release is featured in this month's issue of The Wire Magazine, a legendary publication that's been running since 1982, which is a long time.

I am really happy with the writer's perception of the sound content heard, and the mentioning of bands on the original Shimmy Disc label like Dogbowl and Bongwater. That feeling of knowing that there are like-minded artists out there fearlessly doing their thing is priceless. One thing I'd like to point out though is that I believe the song with the cut-up Strokes on there is actually called "Movin' Too Fast". That doesn't take much away from the review because I think the author just really wanted to get the album's most awesomest song title in the text, so I'm down.

May we all "make our own roads and determinedly follow them!"

Back to our homes in space right?

Check out the review of the Alien's printed media debut transcribed in its glorious integrity below. You can buy the magazine in object form or subscribe to read it's awesome content here: http://www.thewire.co.uk/

I Know I'm An Alien

I Know I'm An Alien And I Want To Go Home
Sometimes Then I Remember That I Gotta Try
And Understand You
Bandcamp CD/DL

"If you listen you can hear the sound of one man being wilfully difficult - driven by the rancid taste of contemporary work-pub-death-drone life to claim existence as an alien called Walter Weirdheadd. If the original Shimmy Disc label was still going then this'd be right in the league of Dogbowl or Bongwater. As it is, I Know I'm An Alien's closest current ally if only in terms of approach might be the dry humoured DIY Indie of The Pheromoans. The caustic politics here is not earnest. There's also synth modulated vocals, goofing around with melodies, a really great cut-up of The Strokes' "Reptilia" in "You Know, I Find It Funny How Well Adjusted You Are To This World", and then just as random yet straight and pretty Spanish guitar instrumentals. It might actually be a new outsider classic, carrying on the time-honoured tradition of making your own road, determinedly following it, and making something's that's either going to be hailed as addictive genius or incredibly annoying."

Alien News

A new album to be called "Still Alien Still Dreaming" is I would say ready to be shared in the physical plane of existence, meaning CD-R and virtual internet release for now. By physical plane I mean, before becoming an actual sound the music is a thought, so sounds are the way these thoughts exist in the material world, yes. The songs mostly revolve around the themes of mind control, alien races like the Anunnaki, the fall of Atlantis due to the overuse of technology and genetic engineering and the belief the we are all creators and not sheep like the commonly held misconception. One day we will know telepathy. yeah, pretty far out stuff. This album was recorded on cassette.

And also a Meditation album called "I Know I'm An Alien Meditations" is ready for release too. It was recorded with the use of Binaural Theta Waves technology tuned in 432Hz, the natural tuning. This stuff is all online for research, find the truth dude, whoever you are. There are seven tracks each one corresponding to a Chakra (energy centers in the Human Body) and each Chakra has a musical tone in which each song was recorded in. If you are a person who doesn't relate to this world where it's at at this point in evolution with it's money oriented ways then you must certainly need to meditate to not go completely nuts with shit.

Finally, a cassette release of the first I Know I'm An Alien Album I Know I am an Alien and want to Go Home Sometimes but then I Remember That I gotta Try and Understand you  is in the plans as well. Up til now it had only been available on bandcamp and CD-R.
https://iknowimanalien.bandcamp.com/releases

A live band is being put together for amazing mind blowing performances of the pieces in that album as well as the upcoming release for gigs in London or wherever we get asked to go cause we free, ultimately we are free spirits, our Souls are just here visiting, a stroll in the park right

So yeah, Zappa is so great, but Beefheart, man, Zoot Horno Rollo solo albums, the Bozo one, Sun City Girls, what a fucking great band, they get it, they got it. And you know The Residents and Sun Ra, Renaldo and the Loaf, Terry riley, these are people that get it! And Picky Picnic from Japan.

Oh and Patti Smith, this interview here: http://www.salon.com/2015/10/05/patti_smiths_most_personal_interview_the_things_that_make_me_feel_strange_ive_transformed_them_into_work/

I Know I'm An Alien on WFMU

Absolute pure mystical magic as "Being At Work = Being in School" got some airplay on legendary WFMU radio, one the best and coolest radio stations in the world.

The song was played in Dance With Me, Stanley with Stashu on January 2nd of this year and had a far out, beautiful and touching performance by Stashu with the album title "I Know I'm An Alien and I Want To Go Home Sometimes But Then I Remember That I Gotta Try and Understand You" being repeated over and over drenched in reverb fading into  the cosmic nothingness of Fünf .

That blew my mind and was one the coolest things I ever heard.

Thank You Stashu. Thank you WFMU. I love you for Obvious reasons.
